Playmate

Eugena Washington

If there’s one thing Eugena Washington isn’t, it’s afraid to speak her mind. At five feet, nine and a half inches, the statuesque Miss Washington has made a name for herself as a model, and her personal mantra is ‘Why the hell not?’ From her appearances on TV to her turn as Miss December, there’s no doubt that Eugena does whatever she wants. “I don’t give myself boundaries,” she says. “I grew up in Palmdale, California—basically suburbia—and my family had a lot of kids. I have seven brothers and sisters. You definitely can’t miss the Washingtons.” Eager to distinguish herself—and get out of Palmdale—Eugena competed in Cycle 7 of America’s Next Top Model, coming in second runner-up and gaining a high profile. “After the show, I was blessed with lots of work,” she says. “I got involved with Playboy two years ago—they offered me an editorial called U.S.A. for their 60th Anniversary issue, and after that, I stayed in touch with Josh. This year, he texted me and asked if I wanted to shoot for Playmate. I was like, ‘Why not. Why the hell not!’” Though she’s thrilled to be Miss December, the enterprising Miss Washington has already got her eyes on the next prize. “Playboy’s been a wonderful adventure, but I’m already moving onto the next thing,” says Eugena. “Makeup and beauty have always been a passion of mine. I’m coming out with a line of hair products called DTMH by Eugena—that stands for ‘Don’t touch my hair!’ I can’t wait for it to come out and for everybody to try it.” This one’s résumé is only getting longer. No matter what she does, one thing’s for sure—you just can’t touch Eugena Washington.
